Gra-anna
You, Anna and I
All of us
Cosmically linked together
In this existence we all find ourselves in
Birth follows death in an endless cycle
This present moment is only possible
Because the previous one has yielded
And as these lives, Gra-anna and Jopoa left
You and I honored them separately
Little did we know
That in their death
would be a rebirth of love
As we found each other against all odds
So today
We all join to celebrate life and death too
Because the 2 are bound as one
At each moment and throughout all eternity
We found each other from such vast distances
And I have journeyed here to be here
and be in union with you
To melt our hearts together
So that, in the spirit of all great teachers of the past
We can benefit each other
And all beings
Our journey of the heart has just begun
But I know that in your openness and awareness
In you lovingness and compassion
We will flow effortlessly around all obstacles
Not shunning them in fear
But welcoming them in with open arms
Recognizing them to be the great teachers which they are
And the bracelet I gifted you with for your birthday
which now adorns you
Is a continuation of my grandmother’s spirit.
It was hers
And now it is yours, Anna
A symbol of the continuation of love from her
Through me and now, to you
As we consecrate our love in these vows
We know there are many around the world
who are following our unfolding love story
We have shared because our joy is overflowing
And our aspiration, even now and always
Is that the love we feel for each other
Can spread kindness throughout the world
And pacify aggression and suffering
Above all
You are my spiritual partner
And together we shall journey
With openness and kindness
And forever an open communication channel
So that we may together realize the true nature and meaning of being human

But thank you for showing these wonderful photographs and sharing your promises on who you are going to be on this cosmic journey for each other. or the love bugs, as we now like to call ourselves!
Anna reminding me that I haven't even commented on 4321 yet!
Life is but a dream
an illusion
Less than a year ago
Anna's appearance
and her entire cast and crew
of family and friends
were not even a thought in my mind
and now
they are appearances
that fill my every moment
it's as if I swapped worlds!
My family and friends
who have appearred in my life for so many years
are now conspiciously absent
If there is one sadness
it is the vast distances between us
that effectively creates 2 worlds
Yet it is just the beginning
and in the future
Anna and I hope to travel and spend time in both worlds
and the wedding day itself
so happy and joyous
with family and friends
a celebration which Anna and I designed for ourselves
something nontraditional and meaningful
which so many who were present found beautiful
yet again reminding me
of christmas's past that my brothers and I
used to celebrate when we were children
so much buildup
so much anticipation
and when the moment came
I felt the same surreal feeling
of it's illusory nature
….over already?
Above all
Anna is my spiritual partner
for whom I journey with
As long as we keep bodhicitta centrally focused in our hearts
then the karmic habits that we each bring to this relationship
will be referred to the center of this sunlite sky
our union will always be in this light
our obstacles will be brought onto the path with welcome arms
and that which dwells in the shadows
will be invited to come out into the light of love
where rays of warm light will transform it into its innate wisdom
Knowing this
we are on a journey of awareness
and on that precious journey of awareness which is called life
we have little time to waste
I have work to do
whereever I am
So it is in Africa
that my karma has taken me to be by Anna's side
and our journey together
to shed awareness here in South Africa, in Africa
Thank you to our many friends on Gaia
where Anna and I met
where Anna and I became friends
Love grows out of genuine bonds of kindness
friendship knows no bounds of space nor time
The internet is a vehicle
enabling sentient beings everywhere to connect
and for their karma to propel them to meet and interact

laugh and cry with each other
so that this world shrinks
and all beings become our friends
