GURU LIFE

I call life GURU LIFE
because I'm finding Life to be the most amazing sacred teacher of all
- the perfect teacher -
all other teachers a mere shadow in comparison
I cannot begin to express...
I hear of those who have gurus
and their great love for these beings
- and know these gurus must either be direct channels of Guru Life
one and the same
or else paled
by their obstructions to this great guru
freelly available to all
I know the love of a disciple of a guru
I sing the same songs,
cry the same tears and dance the same ecstasy
how fortunate!

there is nothing Guru Life hands me
which is not sacred
my only desire
is to become one
with this great teacher of oneness

The outer guru
is only the inner guru manifesting as appearance emptiness
And when even life, the guru vanishes
when there is no more teacher and student
then the great lesson is learned
When there is nothing left to teach
when the mystery is gone
then there is nothing left to learn
All searching is extinguished
when there is nothing unknown
then, no reason to search
The child has reunited with the mother
When all is known
then we become the all knowing
and nothing unknown falls outside of us
and when there is nothing outside of us
then it becomes senseless to speak of outside or inside
The veil is lifted
and we find ourselves at the centre of the sunlit sky

I was not raised in guru culture and consequently was quite amazed with the adoration placed on people who chose a life of intention and also chose to teach, which is what I consider a guru to be. This kind of [scarily] made me a guru of sorts, except that I aspire to no 'reverence' or adoration, which seems to come along with the package.
Like you, I feel wonderful that I can share these wonderful pure energies of a loving life and be in touch with the Master! I continue to teach for a living and feel myself grow as a human being in the process. Why stop now to become a guru? lol

Janet, it is wonderful to know we're here to learn
Gien, you speak of 'as above, so below' (as it is without, so it is within, etc)
while at the same time indicating how, in this duel world, we are on a journey.
I am wondering if the journey is ever 'over'

I make the distinction between seeing everyone I meet as my teacher
and beings who have evolved to a state of having no obscurations.
I do understand love for a guru who in a sense is a conductor or direct channel;
the word Guru means 'one who casts light' (on darkness/ignorance).
Such a love is in fact love of truth
I not feel I am anywhere near the awareness of these beings
I feel Guru Life - is this amazing 'Be-ing'
