One thing the Network (see link above) is looking at, is a Peace and Compassion March in different countries. Wouldnt it be wonderful seeing a march for Peace and Compassion all over earth!

Hello everyone,
Here's an idea
This year is a bit too close to the event
but next year if we can have marches in different time zones throughout the world
we could start the march at 10am at the UK (which is Greenwich Mean Time)
then the first marchers there could do something unique and pass it on in realtime to the marchers in the next time zone 1 hour later
Each march does this
passing on something to the march in the next time zone
like a baton
I don't know what the idea is that we would pass on
but something imaginative
in this way
we have realtime interaction
between all the marchers around the world
just a crazy left brained thought…..anyone wanting to add on to this idea is welcome to

Gien, that's a lovely idea. The Peace and Compassion March has a lot of potential. I'm hoping Gaians will join the network.
What we're going to do this year is, marchers are requested to come prepared with an inspirational quotation, piece of writing or picture relating to the theme of Peace and Compassion, in a letter or on a card. On the day of the march everyone will exchange their letter or card with a stranger who is also participating in the march. This exchange will be a gift and also a bonding with someone we do not know but who shares our vision in their unique way.
